Houston is the Texas market where the cable incumbent is Comcast rather than Spectrum. Xfinity reaches almost every address in the city; AT&T's fiber build covers roughly three quarters of it, strongest on the Northside and through West Houston and thinnest downtown and around the Greater Fifth Ward. There is also a genuine local fiber challenger here — Ezee Fiber, concentrated in the northern suburbs after absorbing Tachus in 2025 — which is unusual for a Texas metro. Spectrum barely registers inside the city limits.
